VIRPCA 20 Years_V2

On February 10th The Vancouver Island Region was “born”.

Vancouver Island Region began as an offshoot of Canada West Region. The main focus was on Autocross, but it soon developed into a very social club as well.
Our club has done some amazing things over the years, ” Ice Cream Sunday” turned into ” The European and Classic Car Picnic” (between 2007 and 2010 VIR raised over $400,000 for The Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children on Vancouver Island)
The European and Classic Car picnic has evolved into GAIN’s Vancouver Island Motor Gathering.

” Spring to the River”, “Crown Isle “and  “Black Rock” are examples of some of the more amazing events our club has put on. “Black Rock” has had a huge impact on the Ucluelet community. The Ucluelet Volunteer Fire Brigade was been essential to the success of our event. Our Black Rock events have helped the UVFB purchase a new Rescue Vehicle, and send their members for training. Black Rock has also helped the Club Raise over $45,000 for Cops for Cancer Tour De Rock.

Vancouver Island Regions success has been due to you the members! I have never been involved with a club that has had more friendly and hard working individuals. Our club has grown to 240 and has been rising every month!

Every year it seems we have a wide range of events that happen all over the island. Your executive have some exciting events planned to celebrate the clubs 20th so stay tuned!
