Courtenay Volunteer Drivers
We have only 12 more sleeps until, Sat. June 8 and we need 5 more Porsche drivers!!
I received a request on April 4 from Teresa Renaud, Teacher, École-Au-coeur-de-l’île, the Francophone school in the Comox Valley, to provide rides in our Porsches for nine of their graduating students, Sat. June 8. We will be picking them up @ 5 p.m. at the Filberg Lodge, Comox, then taking them on a short drive, to Crown Isle Resort for their “Grand Entrance, in style” in a Porsche, around 5:30 for their dinner & dance.
We will also include a teacher in the “Lead Porsche”, and the same in the “Sweep Porsche”. I am working on an interesting route, that will also provide more photo opportunities.
Paul Atterton, North Island Director & I will be part of this drive, plus Trevor, Gordon, Martin & Henry have already volunteered, so we are looking for 5 more shiny Porsches to join, this fun event. To volunteer, or questions, Wendy Woodley, 250-897-3678 goodiestore@virpca. Thank you.
If I don’t get enough Porsche drivers to volunteer, I will have no other choice, but to go back to my early sports car days, 1965 Sunbeam Tiger, British Racing Green, and get some British sports car drivers involved. and I don’t think we want that.
Please volunteer as soon as possible, deadline Friday, May 31.
